In 2015 Nissan introduced the new shape/gen 2 30kw Leaf they changed the spec levels to S ,X and G
With S being the lowest trim level and X now mid trim level and G being the top /luxury trim level.

In Late 2018 they went to a 40 kw motor.
Easy way to tell the S is that it has dial AC controls. X and G are push button.
